Rush service in other New York State counties is $285.00 per service.

Rush service outside New York State is $450.00 per service.

"Per service" means each individual service assignment. A separate service is charged when documents must be served on a different person, at a different address, or when a separate affidavit or affirmation of service is required.

For example, serving one defendant at one address is one service. Serving two defendants at the same address is two services. Attempting service on the same defendant at two different addresses is two services. If multiple documents or parties require separate affidavits or affirmations of service, each required affidavit or affirmation is treated as a separate service.

"Per posting" means each property or posting location is billed separately. Each document that must be posted separately is also billed as a separate posting.

Posting Service includes a single attempt and posting of the documents within 4 days after receipt.

Standard Service includes a first attempt within 4 days after receipt and completion of attempts within 7 to 10 days after receipt.

Expedited Service includes a first attempt within 2 days after receipt and completion of attempts within 5 days after receipt.

Rush Service includes a first attempt on the same day of receipt, if received before the cutoff, and completion of attempts within 2 days after receipt.

Day calculations exclude Sundays. Jobs received after 2:00 PM are treated as received on the next business day for scheduling purposes.

These timeframes are guidelines, not guarantees, and may be affected by factors outside our control, including weather events, access issues, safety concerns, incorrect information, or other operational conditions.

Included attempt windows are:

• Morning: 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM
• Afternoon: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
• Evening: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Except on eviction matters, expedited matters, rush matters, or other matters where time does not permit, one attempt will be made on a Saturday.

Printing of up to 50 pages is included. Additional pages are billed at $0.10 per page.

We complete all mailings required by statute after service. This includes, for example, the required mailing after suitable age service or affixing service. We will bill for the postage at our actual cost.

Body-worn camera documentation may be available for service attempts within our local service area: Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, and Oswego counties.

Availability is not guaranteed and may depend on staffing, location, safety conditions, equipment availability, and other operational factors. Body-worn camera footage is not included as a standard deliverable unless expressly confirmed by our office.

Standard due diligence may include:

• Attempting to make contact with a person at the provided address
• Making notes of signs of vacancy, such as no power, overgrown vegetation, accumulation of newspapers or mail, and similar observations
• Observing and making notes of signs of residency, such as visible packages or mail, names on mailboxes or doors, and vehicles in driveways
• Leaving door hangers requesting that the recipient contact us
• Attempting to contact neighbors, leasing offices, or other appropriate sources to verify residency when necessary

Due diligence service is not provided on posting service. Limited due diligence is provided for eviction services where verification of residency is not necessary.

Notarized affidavits of service have generally not been required in New York since January 1, 2024, pursuant to CPLR § 2106. Our electronically signed affirmation of service is valid for filing in New York courts.

Our electronically signed affirmation of service is permitted under the Electronic Signatures and Records Act, including New York State Technology Law §§ 304 and 306.
